The Wyrm Sea Region

The People and the Dragons

The inhabitants of Wyrmisle, Condrydin, and Ansalim around and near the Wrym Sea in Hyebrenia have adapted to the constant presence of dragons in their lives. They view the dragons not as monsters to be feared, but as powerful beings to be respected and revered.

Wyrmisle

The people of Wyrmisle have a unique relationship with the dragons. They live in close proximity to the clans, often forming symbiotic relationships. Some serve the dragons as caretakers, tending to their lairs and offering them gifts. Others act as messengers and diplomats, mediating between the clans. They have developed a complex system of rituals and traditions to honor the dragons, ensuring their continued goodwill.

Condrydin

The people of Condrydin, separated from Wyrmisle by a narrow strait, have a more distant relationship with the dragons. They view them as powerful deities, offering them prayers and sacrifices. Steeped in dragon lore, their art and architecture reflects the majesty of these creatures. They often send emissaries to Wyrmisle, seeking the wisdom and favor of the dragons.

Ansalim

The halflings of Ansalim, located further south, have a mixed relationship with the dragons. While they respect their power, they also fear their destructive potential. They have developed elaborate defenses against dragon attacks, building fortified cities and training skilled dragon slayers. However, they also recognize the benefits of peaceful coexistence, engaging in trade with Wyrmisle and offering tribute to the dragons.

Griffons and Wyverns

Griffons and wyverns, while not as powerful as dragons, also play a significant role in the ecology of Wyrmisle.

Wyverns, more aggressive and territorial, are often used as guardians, protecting the borders of the different dragon clans.

Griffons, known for their loyalty and courage, often serve as mounts for the warriors of Wyrmisle.
